As Your Representative

   Nancy has been successful in her efforts to provide a safe, clean, and reliable water supply, at the lowest cost. 

   Mission Springs Water District is financially sound and is prepared for the future with maintenance and emergency programs in place. Nancy will continue her efforts to keep groundwater management at the local level to help protect our hot and cold groundwater basins for us and future generations.

   By being fiscally responsible during her tenure, Mission Springs Water District has received grants for over $40 million and is approved for a $68 million state grant for 100% of the total costs for the new MSWD Regional Water Reclamation Facility and related projects, these grants protect our wallets and promote a sustainable and affordable water supply.

   Nancy is a founding member of the Desert Hot Springs Groundwater Guardians since 1995, and member of the Desert Hot Springs Women’s Club since 1987. These community groups benefit consumers with educational programs and services.

   Starting in 2012 Nancy has served as Commissioner of the Riverside County Local Agency Formation Commission. She also represents MSWD on the Coachella Valley Association of Governments Energy and Environmental Resources Committee, and the Coachella Valley Conservation Commission. She has served on the Salton Sea Advisory Committee to the California Natural Resources Secretary and is the immediate past chair of the Colorado River Basin Regional Water Quality Control Board, a board she has been a member of and appointed to by four California Governors since 2000.
