Desert Hot Springs LGBTQ+ Town Hall – October 30th at City Hall. Be There! Hear From Mayor Matas and Police Chief Henson – Sponsored by DiversityDHS.org

Posted on October 17, 2023

To our fellow LGBTQ+ community members, residents and citizens:

The last few years have seen a remarkable and troubling rapid increase in hate, assaults and murder directed towards members of our community and allies from a number and variety of external elements. Our environment is steadily and inexorably transforming into one of widespread anxiety and alarm over what may come next.

The situation demands a well-considered response with the goal of preserving the safety and security of our community in all it’s colorful, vibrant and diverse aspects. We cannot do it individually or on our own without substantially and consistently helping each other in effective ways. That is what it will take to counter those who are well organized, funded and motivated to do us harm. Communicating well and standing hand-in-hand is more important now than ever going forward into the new year and upcoming election season.

DiversityDHS would like to invite you to what may be the most important and life-defining meeting you may ever attend.

We have much to discuss and would like to hear your thoughts, input and ideas regarding this most important subject. One that is increasingly likely to affect us all in one way or another, sooner or later.

Come to the 5th annual LGBTQ+ Town Hall Meeting at Desert Hot Springs City Hall.
